explores what it means to be a leader and provides insight into several aspects of your
personal leadership.

Creating A High Engagement Work Environment
The world’s top-performing organizations understand that employee engagement is a force
that drives performance outcomes. Research by Gallup and others shows that engaged
employees are more productive. They are more profitable, more customer-focused, safer,
and more likely to withstand temptations to leave. When people are fully engaged, they
remain committed. This learning event teaches you how to foster employee engagement
and create a work environment characterized by teamwork, positive attitudes, strong morale,
loyalty, and productivity.

Leading With Impact and Influence
Over the past ten years, the ability to infl uence others has become a vital leadership skill.
This learning event explores what it takes to build positive, trusting relationships that earn
leaders the right to infl uence others. Participants learn techniques for infl uencing others,
including managing up, and speaking with assertion and confi dence. In addition, this session
examines how to influence six styles of decision makers.

Leading For High Performance
Coaching lies at the heart of management and the greater the need for strong business
performance, the greater the need for leaders to be good coaches. This learning event takes
participants through a six-step coaching process, including how to get ready to coach, how
to assess skill and motivation level, and how to conduct effective coaching conversations.
Participants also learn how to give descriptive and actionable feedback that encourages
positive action.

Delivering Powerful Messages
It is a fact of organizational life that to lead well, individuals must communicate well. This
learning event helps participants hone their leadership voice and engage in powerful
conversations. They will learn how to inspire others, and shape and deliver messages that
maximize audience understanding. In addition, they will learn how to pick the right forum for
delivering key messages and ways to overcome stage fright and communication anxiety.

Leading Change
This learning event explores why change is challenging, including why people struggle with
change, feel overwhelmed by it and respond differently to the same change event. We will
describe how people commit to change and what leaders can do to accelerate commitment.
This learning event also describes how to deal with resistance to change and how to lead
others through the change process. Learn how to lead and motivate the changing and
multi-generational workforce in today’s highly diverse employee population. We’ll outline
the essentials of planning and leading change and the critical competencies required.
You’ll discover how to help others let go, begin anew and commit to change. Understand
organizational lifecycles while learning how to maintain prime effectives over the life of the
organization.

Creating Winning Teams
This workshop is designed to teach leaders how to create a synergistic team that delivers
strong results and demonstrates positive work relationships. Participants learn the essentials
of team effectiveness and have an opportunity to diagnose their team, understanding what it
takes to be a real team and not a team in name only. Team leaders learn how to build trust,
collaboration, and competence in the pursuit of important goals. Participants learn how to
use different coaching functions to build team motivation, empowerment, and performance,
especially during times of change. This workshop also provides techniques for special
situations including how to help teams deal with change and how to identify and manage the
challenges of leading remote teams.

Leading in Tough Times
Leading is a challenge even when times are good, but what happens when tough times
hit: economic downturns, downsizing, and difficult external circumstances? Trying to keep
people’s spirits positive during a time of crisis is extremely difficult, yet it is a challenge most
managers will face at one time or another. Managers often experience a crisis of confidence
when the future is uncertain, wondering how they will effectively lead others through troubled
times. They struggle with issues such as how to get the most out of the team, without
pushing them too hard, how to communicate with authenticity, and how to keep employees
optimistic and inspired.

Mastering Conflict
There’s a difference between constructive and destructive conflict and participants here will
learn how to handle each to advantage. Recognize patterns of conflicts, learn to identity
the causes, and prevent destructive conflict. Gain insight into different styles of confl ict
management, identify your own style, and discover when and how to use each style to
improve your organization. Learn how to apply interpersonal and group confl ict resolution
techniques.
